Getting Started

What is Spottable?

Spottable is an AI-powered deal finder for Facebook Marketplace. The iOS app lets you set saved searches, get push notifications for new listings, and run AI analysis on any item — scoring it 1–10, surfacing red flags, and writing negotiation messages for you. The Chrome extension brings the same AI analysis directly inside Facebook Marketplace.

What platforms is Spottable available on?

Spottable AI for Chrome is available now on the Chrome Web Store, and the Spottable iOS app (iPhone and iPad) is live on the App Store.

How do I get started?

For the Chrome extension: install it from the Chrome Web Store, pin it to your toolbar, then open any Facebook Marketplace listing and tap "Analyse with Spottable." You get 3 free AI credits on sign-up. For the iOS app: download it from the App Store, create an account, and set your first saved search in under two minutes.

Do I need a Facebook account?

No. Spottable searches public Marketplace listings without requiring your Facebook login. Your Facebook account stays completely separate.

AI Analysis & Credits

What does AI analysis include?

Each analysis gives you: a deal score (1–10), a verdict (great deal, fair price, overpriced, or avoid), a fair market price estimate with range, condition assessment based on listing photos and description, red flags for potential scams, and three ready-to-send opening messages — lowball offer, fair offer, and a verification question.

What are AI credits and how do they work?

AI credits power the AI features: analysing a listing, chatting about a listing, and generating messages each cost 1 credit. Pro subscribers get 25 credits per month included. You can also buy credit packs that never expire and are used before your monthly allowance.

Do my monthly credits roll over?

The 25 credits included with a Pro subscription reset each billing cycle — they do not roll over. However, any credits you purchase separately never expire.

Can I chat with AI about a listing?

Yes. After running an analysis, you can ask follow-up questions. The AI has context about the item, photos, and seller to help you make a smarter decision — for example, asking "Is this model known for battery issues?" or "What should I check when I pick it up?"

How do I check my credit balance?

Your remaining credits are shown in the app's Settings tab, in the Chrome extension popup, and in your dashboard at dash.spottableapp.com.

Saved Searches & Alerts

How do saved searches work?

Create a search with your keywords, location, and price range. Spottable checks Marketplace hourly and surfaces new matches. Pro subscribers get push notifications — you'll hear about a new listing before most people even open the app. You can have up to 7 active saved searches on Pro.

Can I set different alert criteria than my search?

Yes. Each saved search has optional notification filters separate from the search itself. For example, you might search for iPhones under $500 but only get notified for ones under $350.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check three things: (1) Notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Spottable → Notifications. (2) Your saved search is active — open the search in the app and make sure it's toggled on. (3) There are actually new listings matching your criteria — try broadening your search if you've been quiet for a while.

What is the Watchlist?

Save individual listings to your Watchlist to track them over time. You'll be notified if the price drops or the listing status changes (marked as pending or sold) — useful for keeping tabs on items you're considering but haven't messaged about yet.

Billing & Subscriptions

How much does Spottable cost?

Spottable Pro starts at $9.99/month and includes 7 saved searches, 25 AI credits per month, hourly push notifications, and full Watchlist access. A 3-day free trial is available. See the Pricing page for full plan details and credit packs.

Is there a free tier?

There is no permanent free tier. We offer a 3-day free trial so you can test every feature before committing. The Chrome extension starts with 3 free credits on sign-up.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel any time through the App Store: open iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, select Spottable, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple for iOS subscriptions. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the Spottable charge. For any other billing issues, reach out to us through the feedback option inside the app.

Privacy & Data

Does Spottable access my Facebook account?

No. Spottable searches public Marketplace listings without requiring or accessing your Facebook login. Your Facebook account is entirely separate.

What data does Spottable store?

We store your saved searches, Watchlist, notification history, and AI chat threads. Listing photos are cached temporarily to improve performance. We never sell your data to third parties.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Delete Account." This permanently deletes your account and all associated data immediately. This action cannot be undone.
